On September 30, 2015 the ED Collabitat officially opened as a habitat for intentional collaborating. Over 300 people from the UMSL campus and wider community joined us in celebrating the launch of our bold vision. When ideas from diverse disciplines and sectors collide, unforeseen and innovative solutions emerge. The ED Collabitat embraces a radical leap forward to address our greatest educational challenges. Ed Innovators’ Showcase

Ed Innovators Showcase

The ED Collabitat’s ED Innovators Showcase will celebrate the education innovations that are emerging out of the St. Louis region. It will be a venue for education innovators and entrepreneurs to share their original and revolutionary work. We plan to showcase inventive classroom practices, new educational products, and unique educational organizations. We welcome innovators from all sectors. The showcase will feature interactive tabletop exhibits as well as stage demonstrations.

Giving Urban Teachers Support (GUTS)

Teachers who teach in struggling schools often face a unique set of challenges, while also working in isolation. Giving Urban Teachers Support (GUTS) will be a monthly forum designed specifically for teachers who teach in urban environments. This monthly gathering will bring these teachers together to brainstorm innovative, productive solutions around the particular challenges that they face.
